  DIF codec

  A customer has received some files with the suffix .DIF. The file size indicate that it could be a DVCPRO50/PAL format (DVC PRO50/PAL has a bitrate of 7.1 MB/sec, and the DIF files has a bitrate of 6.9 MB/sec, and when placing in FCP’s timeline, the render bar indicates that’s only the audio track that needs rendering.
  I don’t know if it’s correct, but I have an idea, that the files comes from a purple system, but I’m not quite sure.

  My question is: Can he export to the .DIF codec, because when exporting to DVCPRO50, it will be throug the QuickTime conversion, and then the suffix are going to be .mov ?
