  rubber bands are not accurately affecting my volume levels

  Hello,

  Does anyone know why my rubberbands might not be working correctly? I have a section in my edit where the music goes from -1dB to -7dB via rubberbanding with the pen tool, but my audio level does not stay put, it quickly jumps back up to -1dB even though the viewer is indicating it should be at -7dB….

  Try an Audio Mixdown ans see if that helps.

  First, SELECT all of your audio tracks (highlight them) that are involved in that section of the timeline, then:

  Sequence Menu > Render Only > Mixdown.

  You should see a dialog box telling you its rendering.

  Jason,

  Select your audio tracks and hit option L to make them stereo, that’s where I would start. Also, go to the tools menu and open up the audio mixer, much better control than the rubber bands. Also mix down your audio.
