separate audio-video quicktime files or together as one?
BFCP used to capture all video files as separate video and audio files. That was before my system crashed, then I reinstalled FCP.
Now after reinstalling and setting up again, FCP is capturing video files as one, i.e. video with imbedded audio. What is the difference between these two methods, how can I control it, and what are the consequences of one or the other method of capture?

With FCP, you should capture video and audio together. When you reinstalled FCP, the preferences were reset which has video and audio together as a default. In the older days of FCP, If you captured video and audio separate you stand the chance of losing sync. Keep the settings as you have now and you’ll be fine.

Capturing separate audio and video is not typically done anymore. Capture them as one.
