  • Blackmagic Render problem with updated FCP

Posted by Julia K on August 17, 2006 at 3:33 pm

Since having someone update my FCP to 5.1, and loosing all my settings, I bring in a rendered mov file from AfterEffects with Blackmagic settings in to FCP and I need to render it again, before when I brought it in, it was already rendered out and I didn’t neet to render before putting it to tape.

I would greately appreciate any suggestions to fix that problem

    Thanks

In after Effects, makes sure that you choose “BlackMagic 10bit”, and not BlackMagic10bit (DV10) or RGB.

In FCP make sure that your sequence settings have “Uncompressed 10bit selected.

Thank you, I had the settings for Blackmagic 10bit in FCP thinking that matching the two would make sense, but now it works after changing it to the uncompressed setting.

    Thank you once again.
