I had just saved a project and my computer crashed. When it started back up, I tried to open the project but got: After Effects error: missing data in file (33::4). Is there anyway I can open this project or import the sequences into another project, or am I SOL?

    Open a new project.

    File > Import > File

Find your corrupt project. Choose open.

You can import AE projects into other ae projects. Corrupt files can often be saved this way.

    Not always.

I tried that but it still gave me that same error. Any other suggestions?

    That’s all I got.

Maybe you can try and open it on another machine and see if that works. Maybe if you go from MAC to PC (or PC to Mac), and then re-save it?

I doubt that it would help, but you never know.
