Voiceover Tool no imput
Hi
I am having a problem getting an imput through the voiceover tool. Until recently we have been using a basic mike plugged into the line imput on the mac, which has worked fine.
Now we have a proper mike hooked up to our sound/ video card (Blackmagic Multibridge Extreme) via a mixer, and can no longer get an imput via the voiceover tool.
I have changed the imput selection wijthin the VO tool to multibridge, no success.The mike is working, as I can get an imput via the Caprure window, so at the mo I’m recording VO in a similar way to how you’d do it on an Avid.
This poses it’s own hassle, as I have to switch the multibridge to one of the settings I wouldn’t usually use for digitising. Also, I am working at HiDef, strangely, no sound comes through the capture tool if It is set to digigtise on HiDef, so I also have to switch this to one of the SD settings.Anyone able to shed light on this?

what settings do you have set in your Decklink Preference pane for input? if you have the active input set to SD/HD SDI only then the you will indeed get nothing from the analog input on the multibridge

I have set the multibridge to analogue imput. As I said, I am getting sound into FCP, but only through the Capture tool, not through the voiceover tool.

VO Tool can be a little picky about when it chooses to work … I have a Multibridge Extreme in the office, so if the problem is not solved before Monday I’ll take a look.
