  Unwanted down-rez

  When I move a title card (created at 72dpi 720 X 486, pict) from the ‘view’ window in FCP to the ‘canvas’ window
  it looses resoultion for some reason and gets ulgy. Viewer fine but canvas not. RT is on ‘HIGH’. Hummm…

  You need to look at it on your NTSC monitor, not the canvas.

  It looks bad on the NTSE monitor as well.

  And any still, when added to a DV timeline, will instantly be compressed 5:1…DV resolution.
