  Recompressing HD for DV offline

  I am having problems recompressing for offline.
  Starting with uncompressed 10 bit, 1920×1080, 23.98, captured with Kona3.
  I Recompress media using DV NTSC 48kHz-23.98.
  The new canvas is 16:9 but will only display a distorted (squeezed) picture.
  I have checked the Anamorphic box in Sequence Settings.
  Any thoughts?

  Does your monitor display 16X9? Have you switched it to 16X9?

  Are you referring to a NTSC display?
  I have a 23″ Apple Cinema Display.
  I hope to use it alone while off-lining.

  not a good idea! you should always monitor your video using an NTSC monitor.
