We’re working on a job right now that was all shot on HVX200 (720p60). everything is great inside of FCP and even monitoring through AJA Kona2 to a component NTSC monitor. However, we need to make DV NTSC resolution quicktimes pretty regularly (every few days) of rough cuts for the client. Is there any EASY way to export out a 4:3 Quicktime that puts widescreen bars on and doesn’t distort the original aspect ratio?

Just copy your sequence and paste it into a DV/NTSC timeline and render. Then output a Quicktime Movie (not Quicktime conversion, as you have already converted it at this point).

    It will be letterboxed.
