• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  FCP 5.0.5 + JVC BR-HD50 – deck doesn’t show up

  We have a JVC BR-HD50 deck that we’ve been using mostly for playback and capture through an AJA-Io and (a different system) an AJA Kona LHe. We decided to master off a project to HDV so we had to hook it up via firewire.

  The deck doesn’t show up in Final Cut Pro or in iMovieHD.

  Has Apple changed something that causes it to not work anymore? Shortly after we got it, I was able to capture HDV from it via firewire on a third system. Now it doesn’t connect to any of the 3 systems we’ve tried connecting it to.

  Has anyone else had this issue?
