  Work on AE project with external NTSC monitor

  Hello, I have been a graphic designer for quite some time, I just recently got a good deal on a Panasonic NTSC Monitor, I would like to use this monitor to preview my work in after effects like a video editor in finalcut. because the .9 pixel stretching on my square pixel monitor is driving me crazy. is there some plugin I can download/buy to do this? here are my hardware specs if you need them.

  —–G5 running OSX 10.4.8
  After Effects 7
  STOCK geforece graphics card w/ DVI-I and that strange apple monitor port.

  —–PANASONIC NTSC MONITOR SPECS
  VGA, Component, RCA, S-video Inputs

  P.S. if it matters, I also have a copy of Finalcut that i rarely use.

  First of all just hit the button below the comp window that corrects for the .9 stretch. There’s no reason you need to be looking at it stretched. Second of all get a decent uncompreesed output card like the Decklink or AJA Kona. Both ads for them should be on the Left side of the forum thread list page here at the AE Cow.

  yea, I knew about that button but I still wanted to see it in its “true” enviroment, I guess ill be picking up an aja card soon 🙂 Thanks for your help chris, oh, cool building timelapse on your site.
