  Rendering causes gray viewer

  Can anyone help me solve this? I imported video and audio from a DVD to add subtitles, and after rendering half of it worked just fine, but now the new video segments that I render turn gray when played back in the Canvas.

  It all looks fine in the Viewer and when the playhead is stopped, but when I play, the Viewer turns gray. The video properties all look exactly the same for the clips that work and those that don’t as far as I can tell… can someone help?

  How did you import the video? After demuxing it? If so, try exporting the offending clips using QuickTime Conversion to the codec that matches your sequence settings… DV or whatever. Then edit with these files.
