So I got footage for a show shot on the new Panasonic HVX 200…..it is DV-NTSC….however….iT IS 16:9 when I ope it in QT Player…..when I bring in to FCP…..load a clip into the viewer, it is 16:9 in a 4:3 viewer window..hoever there is gray at the top and bottom of the window where the letterbox would be….when I take that clip lay it in a DV NTSC timeline….it is letterboxed….looks fine to me….if I check anamorphic in the Sequence settings….it squeezes the picture…..no good….when I output as is….it comes out letterbox…the client doesnt want letterbox….now the raw clips say they are anamorphic, but again if check the anamorphic checkbox in the sequence settings it squeezes the picture…..hope this makes sense…..amm I doing something wrong here….if it was shot 16:9….to put it in a 4:3 video…it has to letterbox it right….seems logical to me…..is there a way to get a full 4:3 video from 16:9 footage without squeezing the picture???

didnt realize you had to check 16:9 in your sequence setting before you put a clipp in it….or it will letterbox the clip even if you change the 16:9 optioin afterwards…makes sense….just didnt know…
