  • keyboard shortcut for cycling through FCP windows – finally found it!

    Hey all,

Thought I’d share this because I’ve been looking for it since FCP 1.0. I’ve seen other people complain on this forum that the commmand-tilde (~) shortcut for cycling through open windows in the app doesn’t work in FCP. I finally stumbled into the keyboard shortcut for doing this: command-shift-tilde. Works for sure in 5.0.4, can’t say for sure about 4.x and below…

hope someone else finds this useful too,

I don’t use keyboard shortcuts. I use the Button tool instead. Makes it easier for me than remember all the keystrokes, just hit the button.

Nothing wrong with that, but this command is hard wired, so you can’t assign it to a custom button or keyboard shortcut.

That is AWESOME. I am wondering why I never knew that one?
For awhile now I’ve been using CMD 1-4 to select windows.

    Useful bro, verrrrry useful. THANKS!
