  Imported Jpegs are changed to HD format

  I am trying to import Jpegs from PPT and they are coming into FCP HD formatted for HD. They were created as on screen show slides. I have done this a lot in the past with FCP 4 aand never had a problem. Am I missing a setting somewhere to make these come in correctly?

  BUD

  FCP 4
  G4: 1G-DP: 1.5G ram
  Internal SCSI
  Lots of LaCie Firewire
  Igniter X RT

  When you import pictures, FCP does absolutely nothing to them. It doesn’t format them for anything…all it does is point to where the picture is. If the picture has huge dimensions, like 2000×1200, then yes, it will be big. If you want pictures formatted for FCP as Standard Def, you format the pictures so that they have the dimensions of the footage you are working with.
