  • Accidently conformed 24p advanced footage to 23.98! HELP!?

Posted by Salilsundresh on June 15, 2006 at 9:39 pm

I accidently conformed all of my 24p advanced footage (shot on DVX100B) to 23.98 fps using Cinema tools. Will this result in any loss in quality? I had a 60i clip in my scratch folder, but little did I realize that it would conform EVERYTHING in the folder. My video is intended to end up as as a 24p advanced sequence, so will this cause any problems/quality loss? Can someone please help me?! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Deadline is in a couple hours…I don’t know what to do?!

You should be OK… all you really did was the extra conform you didn’t have to do…i.e. you could have removed the pulldown during capture in the first place. If you don’t see a problem, you don’t have one…

Okay, it doesn’t seem to have done anything. I had pull-down removal when I captured. Things seem okay.

    Thanks,
