May 30, 2006 at 5:57 amAs far as I know, only the major networks (barely….most upconverted SD deliverables), major sports channels like ESPN and a couple pay ones like HBO. Other than that…not many. Couldn’t tell you a number really, just what I have seen. And I have to deliver HD masters to the History Channel and Discovery….but they don’t air HD yet. They air the SD downconvert we also supply them with.

May 30, 2006 at 3:40 pmRight now I can tell you the locally all four major networks are HD along with TNT, Discovery Home Theater, TBS, HDNET, HBO, CineMax, Showtime, Universal HD are on our service. The local Atlanta NBC affiliate now broadcasts their local news in HD and it looks amazing.
Additionally I know that Outdoor Life, National Geographic and HGTV networks are all broadcasting in HD. Food Network is about to launch their HD channel sometime this summer.
Television Week is a great magazine for finding out a lot of things about the broadcast industry. Expensive for a subscription, but a lot of great information.
