  Keyspan adapter

  I bought a Keyspan adapter to convert RS-232 to USB to control my DSR20 DVCAM deck. I installed the Keyspan software and restarted the computer, but when I open FCP and try to change my device control to the Keyspan, there is no option for Keyspan, USB or anything related.

  You should have the option to use the serial port supplied by the keyspan… does your system profiler see a serial port now? If so, you should be able to select RS-422 for control of the Sony deck… the one that’s right for this is here: https://www.keyspan.com/products/usb/USA28x/ The others aren’t gonna work don’t think.

  There’s software drivers too you need to run to have the mac see the Keyspan. if you don’t have them, you can download them from Keyspan.com
