  FCP video playback

  hello,

  I have a Sony DCR-HC21 camcorder and I wanted to use it for video playback on my tv monitor. Hooked up the av cable to the tv, the firewire cable is plugged and working, and the camera is on vcr mode. Video playback is set to Apple firewire NTSC and my sequence and capture presets are set to Firewire NTSC.

  No matter what I do it wont show an image on the tv. But if I try the same footage on Premiere 6.5 (dv real time preview project) using the same camera, cables, setup, everything is the same.. it works perfectly.

  Running FCP 5 on a G5 2.7, 2.5GB ram

  any help is much appreciated…project deadline is thursday morning..
