  checking cadence in final cut pro

  I’ve shot 24P and uploaded footage into FCP using standard 23:97. Does anyone know how to now check the entire film to make sure that the 2:3 cadence is not interrupted by the edits? ie. 2:3:3:2 is the regular cadence, how do I make sure an edit doesn’t make it go 2:3:3:3:2:2:3?
  How do I extend each cut so I can tell it will then go 2:3:3:2:2:3:3:2?

  I’d greatly appreciate any help.

  Are you sure re-editing is necessary? What if you use Media Manager’s “Make Offline” to conform the sequence to 23.98. And then use Cinema Tools to do a reverse telecine on all of the source footage. Then just reconnect the media. There will be a gap of a missing frame here and there, but just go through and pull them out.

  Haven’t tried it, but wouldn’t that work?
