HD CAPTURE preset
when i choose ‘Blackmagic HDTV 1080 25Hz – 10 bit’ as my capture preset (for 25p footage), the summary says:
Using Blackmagic HDTV 1080 for video input
Blackmagic HDTV 1080i 25Hz – 10 Bit using NTSC
25 frames per second
Blackmagic 10 Bit at Best quality.
24 bits per pixel
1920 by 1080where does the NTSC come from? all the settings are for 25 fps.
i did a test on the captured footage, and it plays fine on a 25fps timeline, and its format reads 25fps. i dont understand how the ‘NTSC’ is relevent here? or why it is the only option in the 10bit settings?
any ideas?
(using power Mac G5 / FCP4.5 / Decklink HD Pro / Sony HD CAM deck / SONY HD CAM 40min tapes)

Let your eyes be the judge. If it palys back fine on your PAL monitor then it must be PAL.

well does it work correctly? If it does, then don’t worry about it. Presets are mislabled all the time and it doesn’t matter as long as it works correctly.
