• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  dvd extraction

  hello my friends,
  i am working on a 2 minutes piece on a r’n’r band and i wish i could capture images from a music-video they handed me on a dvd…
  i have the yade application, but what should i do to convert the clip onto something readable on final cut or on avid?

  me:
  mac os x 10.3.9
  500 mhz g3
  640 mb sdram
  final cut 3

  and

  10.4.5
  450 mhz g4
  1g mb sdram
  final cut pro 4.5
  and avid xpress dv

  Use DVDxDV. Its a great little program that rips DVDs and creates very good looking QT files.

  Also check out Cinematize. I’ve used it dozens of times, great program for backing up your DVDs.
