  I am now capturing that using HDVxDV, but it’s such an inefficient process!
  Does anybody know of easier applications to get the m2t files browsed and transferred into FCP?

  the 720p24 and 720p24 formats can be capture in only 3 ways:

  HDVxDV
  Lumiere HD
  JVC Deck and Kona LH Capture card.

  That’s it.

  The Blackmagic Multibridge extrme also works for this in the same way as the Kona LH- that is, converting the component analog HD output of the deck into the format you want. Not as good as direct support of 720p24 or 25 but flexible & fast.
