  There appears to be a bug in the updater though,
  if a plugin uses the vec lib (that would be things like Altivec optimization as we do) it goes wrong
  The fix is here:

  yeah i found two :
  1) Magic Bullet suite wouldn’t work – but that is fixed , download the package and instal again the update
  2) no export to Compressor from the FCP as a stand alon its fine …

  what happens when you try to use compressor? do you get an error message or does it just not launch?
