I have an Apacer Handy Steno USB thumb drive that seems to have died on me. Error message is, “the disc you have inserted is not readable by this computer”. It will not reinitalize either. Can’t run Disc Warrior or other recovery aps because it won’t mount. Is there a way to bring it back to life?

Did you try it in a PC? Sometimes they will mount what a Mac refuses to.

    Hope this helps-

Have you actually tried to “see” it using Disk Warrior? Sometimes, though a drive
doesn’t appear on the desktop, DW will be able to see it, and you can then rebuild the directory. It’s worth looking, if you haven’t already.

    Scott –

Did you ever get that drive to work? Just wondering for future reference.
