Deinterlace Question
I have a SD 10bit uncompressed Quicktime video that I created with an animation software called ‘Capturemate.’ The video was captured one frame at a time using a normal SD NTSC interlaced video camera (a Panasonic 3 chip CCD block camera) which I then end up with a 23.98 fps interlaced video. The interlaced fields within each frame are the same; there is no motion between fields within a frame. The motion is only between the frames themselves. My intent is to edit this on a 23.98P timeline on FCP5 and then make a 24P DVD. What deinterlacer would create the best progressive frame in combining all the resolution of the two identical fields? What would be the best way to configure the deinterlacer? I guess what I am worried about is that I don’t want to pick a deinterlacer that specializes in ‘blending’ fields at lower resolution.
I hope this makes sense, and thanks in advance.
