how to convert wvm into QT
Posted by Juliett on March 6, 2006 at 11:00 amHi everyone
I have a few WMV files that I need to import into my FCP project.
What’s the best way of doing this.
Regards
Julie

March 6, 2006 at 4:24 pmHi I used Flip for Mac to view these files. Then
I have just exported the WMV file to a qt movie using Quick Time Conversion
I changed the setting in the options tab.Video Settings Compression Type DV PAL. Size 720 by 576. Frame Rate 25. Audio Linear PCM. Sample Rate 48kHz.
Although this altered the frame size the frame rate wasn’t converted to 25. It still stayed as 29.97.
Any idea why this may be?
Thanks
Julie

I just opened a NTSC WMV in Quicktime Pro 7.0.4. I used Export Movie to QuickTime Movie. Compression DV-PAL. Frame Rate 25 fps. Size Custom Width 720, Height 576 and it worked. It wasn’t pretty though. Shouldn’t really be any different in FCP though. Make sure you’ve changed frame rate to 25fps and not Current.
