  Best way to go from FCP 5 to Flash

  I need to supply our instructional technologies group with a few video clips. The video will be inserted into an online tutorial program. Of course they are wanting the smallest of file sizes, but I do understand their need for this. My question is, what is the best wayt to get from my FCP5 timeline to their tutorial software. They are needing .swf files if I am not mistaken. Anything else I give them (it seems) will be recompressed. I am somewhat new to FCP from Media 100. Can someone help me with this one please?

  I have exported the FCP timeline using the Quicktime Export function with the same settings as the timeline. Once you have that, import the QT file into Flash 8, apply the size, quality and skin settings. Once it is imported to the stage, you can publish it as a .swf file. However, you’ll need to give the .flv, .swf and skin file to your client. I believe they’ll need all of those to playback properly.

  Sorenson Squeeze does a great job of encoding video into flash format.

  it does flv and swf.
