  jittery graphics

  i have a series of stills that have alpha channels in them. they exist in several different layers. as i move them independently and view them once rendered, they jitter up and down roughly 2points in both directions. this visual occurs in both the NTSC world and on a computer monitor.

  i have no compression on the sequence. i have selected lower field dominance and have applied motion blurs to all of the cut out images. the images are all photoshop files.

  any idea how to smooth out the motion so that i don’t get this jitter?

  Have a look in the video monitor. Are you still seeing the problem? You can’t judge rendered graphics without an external monitor. The Canvas displays a much lower quality than what is reality.

  Try the deinterlace filter…also the flicker filter sometimes helps, but mostly with type I think. But I have seen this myself, and solved it with these two toys.

  thanks for both suggestions. the jitter of the images occur on the monitors at the station that my work gets sent to. they aren’t font, they are cut out photographs. i’ll try the de-interlace as well.
