  Can’t export to compressor

  I have FCP 5 on G5 Power mac. For some reason I can’t expot my sequence to Compressor from FCP. The compressor menu is not highlighted. I tried opening Compressor from applications and it doesn’t open.

  Sounds like you need to reinstall compressor. You can can do a custom install from your FCP DVD and tell it to only install compressor.

  It s a Bug in Final Cut 5. You need to Export to quicktime instead. when doing so deselect make selfcontained movie. Then export file to a location where you can find it. Open compressor, and import the file. It is now possible to use compressor.
