  FinalCut… Everything in the timeline has to render….! Help

  Hi,

  I have a decklink card. I am digitizing from my beta deck. I am set up with audio and video settings of Blackmagic jpg.

  Everytime I digitize a clip and put it in the timeline it has to render….

  What is the @!#%$^ secret to this madness? I just want it to play. I don’t want to render every little thing.

  Your sequence settings need to match the settings for the clips you captured.

  Double check those, and if that doesn’t solve the problem, post back!

  Ditto. Use an Easy Setup to ensure that everything matches.

  You might also want to check if RT extreme is enables when using the particular codec you have chosen.

  I’m using FCP 6.0.6 right now, is there any way i can automatically set the SEQ to the setting of my media?
  I’m using both QTs shot on a Canon Dslr (awesome looking 1080i video) and some 1080HDV footage. I want to sent my sequence to the QT because they are the bulk of my source media but i can’t seem to get the correct settings in which the red un-rendered bar disappears.
