    Hi gang,

I make a freeze frame. I render the freeze frame.

I export as a ‘Quicktime conversion’ ‘still’. (Photoshop, JPG, Tiff – same results)

    SOME pictures are fine.

SOME pictures are either blank white, or they have a thin veneer of white overtop, as if FCP has added a 40% white layer.

I export EXACTLY the same way each time, the freeze frames pulled from the same original media.

I get the same weirdly inconsistent results exporting a still right from the timeline.

In all cases I first render the freeze frame or the clip from which the still is pulled.

    What is going on???

There is no reason to make a freeze frame or render that freeze frame. Is there a specific reason why you are making a freeze frame. To export a still just load the clip into the viewer and Exprt/QT Conversion/Still. This method has never failed. I’ve probably exported 500 stills this way.
