  picture delay when monitoring audio – phono out

  when monitoring audio through my dv cam (firewire), audio and video sync well.
  when i plug external speakers into the phono out on my G5, the video lags visibly.

  i’m running FCP 5.0 on a G5 quad.

  That’s normal. You should plug the speakers into your DVCAM device, not the computer.
