  firewire capture

  Just loaded FCP5 and is not recognizing the deck. I double checked the basics, cables etc etc. FCP keeps saying (missing)Firewire. I threw out the preferences and reloaded the software. Still no firewire any ideas?

  Search this forum for the model of your deck/camera, which you have not provided.

  We’ve been dealing with this issue since the day FCP5 shipped but there are dozens of possible solutions.

  We are using a Sony DSR 45 which was working fine in FCP4 prior to the upgrade.
