you cant do what you’re doing in an adjustment layer sense, but you can set up a filter on one clip. Drag that to your favorites folder in the browser, select the rest of the clips and drag that filter to those clips.

You can set up a filter on one clip, then hit copy (apple-c), select the rest of the clips you want to add the filter to and hit Past Attributes (Option-v). Select the filter tickbox and then it’s pasted to all of the clips. This method is okay if you only have the one broadcast safe filter on the original clip, otherwise it’ll paste all of the filters you have on the original clip to the rest of the clips.
Nesting is okay to do as long s you don’t have to media manage as nesting can get goofy with the media manager.
