Has anyone else had this problem. When the Apple Cinema display is set to 1344×840, playback the canvas jitters, and dropped frames are experienced on output through my AJA. But at 1200×800 all playback seems to be fine. I guess my question is: Can screen resolution cause the FCP to drop frames?

The editor using this system has problems seeing the 1900×1200 setting.

    Here’s the system
    G5 Dual 2.5 w/ 6 GB RAM
    Lacie 500 GB FW800 Drive
    2nd internal ATA 200GB
    AJA IO

    Yep.

You should be able to run the screen in full resolution though for the card / monitor. Check to make sure you’re running Millions of colors, not thousands.
