• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  Preview Disabled

  In FCP 4.5 trying to attach a Sony HDV Z1U model to the system (worked before) FCP does not see the device…..I have trashed the preferences 8 times…restarted etc. …….all settings that I have used before are set to the DV Device…and the cord, computer port and camera work (I tested them in imovie, digitizes and plays back). In FCP it will control the camera forward …back …play etc. but the message is “Preview Disabled” and shows as a missing NTSC Device.

  Any Ideas…what is wrong?

  I think your problem was my problem. Trash your quicktime and reinstall. It worked for me. It’s fast, free and requires a restart.
