    Hi Everyone

My Final Cut Pro won’t start and I don’t know why? I shut the computer down and re-started but it didn’t work.

    Can anybody help

It’s version 5.0.2 running on Mac OSX 10.4.2 with 2.7GHz processor and 4gig memory.

    Thanks

    Zee

I had the same prob yesterday, did a search and found this:

    Final Cut won’t open.
    1) Trash your preferences by going to User>Library>Preferences>Final Cut Pro User Data>Final Cut Pro 5.0 Prefs. Go ahead and trash the other 2 files too. (Obj cache, Prof cache) See if that helps. FCP will re-create these files when you open the application if they are not in that folder, so it is an effective way to “re-start” to “factory” settings.

It would also help if you included one bit of important information: Did it ever work?

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
