  Using fcp 4 on osx. Capture and sequence presets in audio//video settings 720×486. When I use compressor to make mpeg 2.s, the settings read 720×486. But when I check the saved mpegs on my hard drive, they are listed as 640×480. When I import them into dvd sp3 they are listed as assets as 720×486. what gives?

  It’s all good, Rick. It’s the difference (so I’m told) between looking at square pixels on your computer monitor and the reformatted aspect ratio for televisions, which use rectangular pixels. However it works, rest assured there’s nothing wrong with what you’re seeing. It’s supposed to work that way.
