November 8, 2005 at 2:02 pmCan you cut to an angle when you’re simply parked at a point? If you can (or I guess even if you can’t), perhaps (and I hate to say this…) trashing your prefs might fix the problem. I generally only do multicam editing on FCP, and haven’t had this problem.
About the other issues however…

November 8, 2005 at 2:57 pmI can cut and switch to an angle when parked at a point I tried trahing the preferences and still the same thing happens.
Maybe I am misunderstanding the difference between a switched version and a cut version.
As I understand it a switched version will change the angles, but not actually cut the time line while a cut version will actuall place visual cuts in the time line that you can navigate to.
Thanks

You’ve got it wrong. The “switched” version is meant to be a preview. However if you are parked on the timeline and use the “switch” keys it will chnage the angle of the clip you are parked on. If you want to live cut the show you have to use the “cut” keys.
I don’t quite understand why you would want to switch the show and keep the markers but not actually implement the cuts? It’s so easy to alter the cut points and still see all the original angles after you cut up the timeline it seems like a waste of effort.
