User Preferences, why no way to save from FCP?
OK, maybe this is a stupid question, but – is there a way to save my user preferences to a filename of my choice – and is there a way to save different versions of my preferences?
I’m new to FCP, but it appears after reading the manual that user preferences are more or less saved by FCP automatically with little or no control allowed by the user.
I know EASY SETUP exists, but it doesn’t save USER preferences, correct?
I like a lot of FCP offers, but in regard to saving settings for user, keyboard, system, etc., it seems there’s stuff littered all over the place.
Why don’t they implement ONE SETTINGS menu where everything, from USER SETTINGS (which should include KEYBOARD as well) to VIDEO/AUDIO, SYSTEM and everything else under the sun is located and can be saved or recalled “selectively” by the user? The current scheme is a mess in my opinion!.
Sorry for the rant.
