  • USING TITLES FOR HDV PROJECT

Posted by Mobygabsten on November 2, 2005 at 1:19 pm

    Hi Everyone!

I am in the process of finishing my project which was shot on HDV and captured on HDV on FCP.

But whenever I use boris 3D titling my shots go soft. for example if I have a medium shot of a man speaking and I put on titles “JOE BLOW, MECHANIC”
    the shot goes soft.

I have set my sequence settings at HD 1440×1080 and set my audio/video settings at HDV-1080i60, capture HDV.

what can i do to make my titles not affect my image?

    thanks,

    jae

Have you rendered the titles? if not it is the RT system lowering your resolution to give you real time playback.

    Thanks Steve!

that was quick! and to answer your question I have set my project at safe RT and rendered everything.

    this is my system spec:

    I have a dual 2.5Ghz PowerPC G5 with 3.5GB DDR SDRAM

and my system is mac OSX 10.4.2 with the latest FCP software(bought from the apple store, no fake stuff here) with all the upgrades.

    so why is this happening?

    thanks,

    jae

Is your Video Processing to Best Quality?

    The Default setting is “Normal.”

    dear matte,

hi, are you talking about the setting under the RT tab?

I have the setting for video play back at DYNAMIC and the video playback frame rate at DYNAMIC

what menu do i go to to make the video processing to best quality.

    thanks,

    jae

Are both “full’ and “unlimited” checked on the render all dropdown menu?
