Freeze Frame
Posted by Tonycity on November 1, 2005 at 9:07 pmOk, this is like rocket sience. What is the methood of creating a freeze frame in the middle of a moving video at exactly the moment you want it to.

1. In the Canvas (timeline), put the cursor on the exact frame you wish to FREEZE.
2. Hit the ” f ” key. This puts this frame (and its entire clip) into the Viewer.
3. Hit “shift-N”. This creates a new “clip” that consists of ONLY the single (frozen) frame in the Viewer.
4. In the Viewer, mark an IN and OUT for the number of seconds and/or frames (duration) you wish the FREEZE to last.
5. On the timeline, INSERT the FREEZE (drag it over to the Yellow Box in the canvas or hit F9) into the timeline.
6. Render. The timeline will play moving video up to the insert point, then FREEZE for the duration you marked, and then start playing (moving) again right from that point. -

November 1, 2005 at 11:30 pmyou might want to also put the de-interlace filter on the freeze frame or it might appear to jump around.
