  motion blur

  This will sound very dumb but…

  I’m having difficulty understanding the motion blur function in Final Cut Pro. I’m trying to reduce the harshness of some video footage and am using the function to soften the moving image.

  I’ve tried altering the percentage of blur yet it appears to make little difference and I have no idea what the ‘samples’ setting alters!!

  Can anyone please give me some advise?!

  Crank up the Samples to 32 for the smoothest look.
  The default percentage of blur is way too high.
  Render out small sections to test, but I think that a reading under 100 will do.
