    hello, everytime i start FCP (HD 4.5) i have to reconnect part of the media. not always the same files tough.
    also after working 2 hours, it starts to get tired and plays back all choppy.
    i am working with 250 gig lacie drive (145gig used). what can i do?
    any ideas?

    INTERNAL Drive or EXTERNAL FW Drive?

    Best to be capturing and rendering to an internal drive that does NOT also contain the System Folder or FCP program.

    A great way to do this is to use “FCP Rescue” a free Apple Script that will Trash the Preferences for you (and restore nearly all of your user settings afterward).
    There are versions for FCPro & FCExpress.
