  exporting for QT with custom frame size

  I need to export a cropped movie out of FCP for QT7 tp display on the web. I’ve cropped in FCP5 using the motion tab, but QT7 shows the movie with black over the cropped area.

  Does anyone know a way that I can change the aspect ratio for QT7 without having to use a third party app like squeeze or cleaner?

  speaking with a friend who says squeeze can’t do high quality (multi-pass) h.264 encoding. Is the same true of cleaner? If so then how is it possible to produce a (pseudo)widescreen QT7 web video from 4:3 footage in FCP?

  Pat,

  QT pro lets you type in any frame size on export.
