    Help!!!

I’m batch capturing 3 hours of logged clips onto my computer (dual G4 1.24g, FCP HD, OSX10.2) from Panasonic DVX 100a (filmed at scene 5, 24p). When I do I get a clip that has audio pushed over 24 seconds out of sync. The tape is fine but something is going on with the capture. Please help…I have a Saturday deadline.

well, I recently had the exact thing happen. no answers..but very odd, the sync was off by A LOT. It was captured in OS 10.4.1 and FCP 4.5..

the ONE tape that had this issue was shot in F1 ( 60i)
the rest of the 5 tapes were fine, even those shot in 24p.

Is it only the one clip?

Could you recapture just the audio with soundtrack and replace the out of sync audio for that clip.
This might be a short term solution till you find out what is causeing the problem.

Unfortunately it’s not just one clip…

Icaptured three hours of footage (probably 15 interview clips) and every one was of in sync…

    Ahh, sorry.

I thought you were saying it only happened on the one clip out of lots.

Are you capturing the audio and video to the same file in the Capture Scratch (NOT splitting audio and video to separate files)?

Have you tried capturing in under-15 minute segments and not one entire tape at a pass?

The audio and video are being captured to the same disc and the clips (15 or so) are all logged clips that I am batch capturing. The shortest is 2 minutes; the longest, 12.
