  • Kicking Titles in FCP5

Posted by Paul Jones on August 22, 2005 at 2:46 pm

I’m getting a strange issue with my titles since upgrading to FCP5

When I dissolve titles up they kick into a slightly different position at the end of the transition.

To try and overcome this I don’t use a dissolve, instead I use the opacity slider to fade the titles up, on the frame where the titles have fully appeared I still get a slight kick.

I am using the FCP built in title generator and have never had this problem before.

    Any help appreciated

Sounds like you have an unecessary keyframe at the very end of the motion trk for your problem titles. Delete it and that should fix your problem.

Are you looking at this in real-time, or rendering out on a video monitor?

I have no keyframes at the end of the motion track and I am viewing.
It is the same real time on the mac monitor and external monitor, everything is rendered !
