  • Help with adding sync sound

    Hi,

is there a shortcut or quick way to add the Original sound track to the Video footage?
I edited a complete Sequence, but removed the sound (unlined and delete) from the Timeline.
Now I would like to have the original sound that belongs to the footage back in the Timeline so it is all in sync and re-linked.

    Thanks for your Help.

First, its always good practice to save “versions” of your edit (duplicate your timeline, work only on the dupe) before making major changes. That way you can easily go back and retrieve things from the previous version(s).

That said, there a a couple of things to try at this point.

    1. Find your Autosave Vault on your HD and see if you can find an earlier version of your project that has the timeline BEFORE you deleted the audio tracks. You can then copy that timeline’s audio tracks to your newer one.

    2. Turn the “auto select” ON on the video track that contains the video clip of the audio you want to match.
Put the cursor on the first frame of a given clip, then hit the “f” key.
The original clip will pop into the Viewer on the exact frame you are parked on in the timeline.
Carefully edit only the audio track(s) back on to the timeline.
    Repeat for each clip.

[Alieninnovation] “What is the best way to edit only the Audio?”

    1. LOCK all the video tracks in the timeline.
    2. Edit the audio tracks.
