    Hi Folks,
Wondering if anyone else is having a problem exporting an Uncompressed AVI over 4GB out of FCP. When the clip(file) becomes over 4Gb it only will play back 15sec of clip yet the clip size looks like it should be. Has anyone else run across this…..

In general AVI’s don’t play nice with QuickTime. If an image sequence is a possibility, I would reccomend going that path. You can probably find a PC app that will create an uncompressed AVI out of an image sequence and then you’re golden. I have never personally gotten an AVI to work right with QuickTime, but I’m not saying it isn’t possible.

Title:Exporting QT Dv video using avi conversion (most quality) in FCP !

If you ever export a quicktime dv video longer than 20-25 minutes using quicktime conversions and choose avi most quality in Final Cut Pro. You can just see first 4 or 5 minutes of the video. If you import this avi video to Final cut its looking shorter too. But the size of the video is big like the video is for 20 minutes. QT 7.0 is even worse. It s not even playing the file and giving an error. I will send this msj to Quicktime too.

    Thanks
